OH YES...

I forgot to say I have added a 365 Calendar bloglist to my sidebar so I can keep up with all your wonderful creations - if you can't see yourself on it give me shout and I will added you to it- I was going by Kate's list on her blog but I was confusing myself going back and forward between the two blogs (not hard to do I know!!!!)....x

SOUL JOURNAL....

At long last - another journal page, have been so busy the last couple of months that this kinda fell by the wayside but after doing the calendar pages I am fired up with new enthusiasm for it... Watch this space...

This is my Soul Armour and I am following some daily prompts that I printed out a while back from Caspiana aka Sarah Whitemire.... I am also going to try out some techniques from the wonderful Teesha Moore and of course all this came about after attending the Art Journal Workshop at Scrap Attack 09 with the brilliant Dyan from Art From The Heart.

The one thing I do keep forgetting to do though is photograph the stages and this one was pretty far on before I remembered..... I used the Tim Holtz method of rubbing two different coloured distress ink pads on the heat mat and spritzing with water, then laying your page over to transfer the colour..... one of my favourites so far...

I then found the great suit of armour on a website highlighted by Sarah in her prompts pages.... added a flourish up the side using a Stamping Up roller stamp and ink and some stickles to highlight the dots and flowers on it.....

And that's about it apart from adding a couple of words which I am definitely going to try harder at this year....lol...

BACKGROUND CHANGE (AGAIN)...

I have also decided to swap my Christmas background for a normal one again and as I really wanted one with the vintage notepaper look I decided on this one... Hope you likey!!!!

STICK FAMILY...

I have added the pets since Tammy was asking about them... Although technically Robbie-Ray is a hamster and not a rabbit (no hamster pictures) and the fish are called Socks and Pants, only Pants didn't fit in the dialogue line...lol...x

Oooh, Only just remembered to post that it is my doggie's birthday today and he is the ripe old age of 14.... Happy Birthday Haggis old man....

I keep getting sad about him cos he is old and we lost our other westie Charlie about 2 years ago suddenly and I still think about him a lot... Haggis is blind now and probably has bronchitis and it's quite scary how he has suddenly aged in the last 3 to 4 months...

BLOG CANDY TO BE WON....

Hop on over to here to Tracie's blog - The life and times of a 12x12 addict to win some lovely blog candy... it's very cute....

MY FAMILY....

Thought I would move my little family to the top of the page cos nobody ever goes to the bottom do they and they are just too cute to miss out on...lol...x

2010 365 CALENDAR CHALLENGE...

I have decided to take part in this fun challenge from The Kathryn Wheel. I have almost completed the first month in readiness for some mini journalling starting on Friday....x

I am also hoping that Sonja will take part and keep me company and keep me motivated to complete it (no pressure there then...lol...)...x

PS - Can anyone tell me why when you double click on my photos they don't enlarge... What am I doing wrong when I either save or upload them????

PPS Did you have a wee look at my little family at the very bottom of the page.....x

OOOPS... ALMOST FORGOT...

Ooops... I almost forgot to show you the lovely parcel (hand picked and ordered by myself of course) that I received from Allan....lol...x

6AM... RISE AND SHINE....

Well that was a bit of a shock to the system... getting up at 6am to take Allan into the heliport... we were going round Danestone Tesco by about 7.40am... was very quiet. Got to the tills though and there was only one check-out operator on-typical!!! So all in all it's been a very long morning....can't believe it's only 11.30am...

Christmas Day was fab - Morgan nearly caught us sorting stockings and parcels at about 12.30 but I think he was still asleep when he came down...lol...
This is them before going of to bed on Christmas Eve....
This is Niamh with the snowflake costume she was convinced she was getting to keep after the nursery nativity - I actually got the lady to make an extra one for her and she was delighted with it!!!
And this is her looking for that last elusive parcel.....
This is Morgan with his DJ Hero....
And Libby with her Goldigga jeans (now she is just like her big cousin Kelly who is 22 in February)...
This is Ellie with said cousin Kelly...
And here is a rare photo of me (with Ellie)... And last but not least it's the boys (Allan and Pete) after having their hair styled by the girls, verrrry nice guys!!!!!

CHRISTMAS EVE....

Well here we are guys... It' Christmas Eve.... all the presents are wrapped (well almost all), the cards are sent (not by me I'm afraid), all the animals are freshly laundered, the turkey is just waiting to go into the oven and tonight's gonna be a good, good night.... Ellie has her last panto performance of the season at 7pm and we are all going to watch from the front row - The Cook Family, The Moultrie Family and The Adie Family... Can't wait, then it will be home to bed to hang the stockings and prepare the vegetables for tomorrow, Allan will be doing that - he is the chief veggie peeler and chopper in this house and fingers crossed for the rest of the day that he doesn't get a phonecall to go offshore cos I hate peeling spuds (only joking honey)!!!!! Ellie has loved being in panto again this year and I hope she goes on to do it again, it's a wonderful experience for her (and she gets paid for it too which is always an added bonus)

Yesterday I went into Aberdeen with Audrey, my sister-in-law. We split up and then met up again for lunch. I had a very enjoyable last minute mooch around the shops. Went to Next and they were giving away all the giant Christmas decorations from the window, unfortunately they had none left by the time I had finished shopping - I would have loved one of those....

Have a Very Merry Christmas everyone and I hope Santa is good to you all!!!!

MORE CHRISTMAS PARTIES AND A VIST FROM SANTA...

Here are the pictures of Niamh before going to her nursery Christmas party... she has a scowl on her face because she didn't want to wear the sparkly tights 'because they itch'... she drives me mad with this... every day is a constant battle trying to get her into clothes that don't itch or the socks that sit 'just right' when she puts her boots on!!!

The only one I didn't manage to get a photo of in his party gear was Morgan and that's because he took his stuff to school and changed there... I did however hear good reports from a parent council member that his table of boys was very well behaved unlike some.... so well done boys!!!

Anyway they had a lovely time at the party and I was there helping out... Santa came and I was worried in case she didn't want to go up but she was absolutely fine with it as you can see...

Sorry the photos are a bit rubbish... I don't have the best camera (and even if I did I wouldn't be able to use it...lol...) and the lighting in the hall at school is pretty awful for photos....

Ellie is of to panto again this afternoon and I am trying (really trying) to get the kids to tidy their rooms out... even the threat of cancelling Christmas isn't helping... Going to try and get them into bed early tonight so I can get some wrapping and sorting of presents done.... Still got a few stocking fillers to get...x

SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!

Well it's definitely beginning to feel a lot more like Christmas now that we have seen the nativity... Doesn't Niamh look gorgeous in her snowflake outfit???
All the little ones did fabulously well in front of all the parents and it was an absolute joy to watch...
It's also beginning to look more like Christmas because of the weather today... yes, it has been snowing and this is the view from the front door about 10 minutes ago... It was coming down really heavy earlier...

BUSY! BUSY! BUSY!

Well, it's been a busy couple of weeks and I am exhausted and it's not over yet!!!... We have had variety shows, panto performances (which go on until Christmas Eve) and it's fantastic... If you haven't seen it, get yourself onto the Inverurie Panto website and book yourself some tickets... All the kids are brilliant and it's very funny. Ellie is having a ball and so far, touch wood she hasn't been too tired for school...

Another photo of Niamh in her pre-loved wardrobe remix...

Monday was particularly busy for Libby as she had her best friend Charley's 7th birthday party straight after school and then it was of to the Rainbow Christmas party which is to be Libby's last ever night as she is moving up to Brownies after the holidays - all grown up now that she is 7. Just hope Ellie looks after her as she will still be there when she starts.... Ellie also had her school party today and I think they both looked gorgeous in the Christmas outfits (I am biased tho!!!)...

This is Libby...
And this is Ellie...

I have also been in at school this week helping out... Tuesday was sorting the nursery kids out with their costumes for the Nativity play that they are doing on Thursday (we had a sneak peek and it's fabulous). Then today was taking Ellie's class down to the church for their annual Christmas service... just got back to the school gates when the heavens opened... Tomorrow I am helping out again with the nursery nativity and then on Friday with their party and that's it for the week... Not sure when I am supposed to wrap any presents...lol....
I also haven't done any Christmas cards yet either (and it is looking highly unlikely that I will)... I did start doing them last week but after a fruitless hour trying to get the address list printed out (temperamental printer!!X!!) I gave up after about 4 or 5 as I had to go get Niamh from nursery and I just haven't had any time since then!!!... We were having a laugh at nursery today wondering how old you have to be before you can start putting a Christmas greeting in the newspaper in lieu of sending cards....lm(ws)ao... don't get me wrong, I love cards but I really hate writing them all. Allan is horrified that I have given up on them so I told him he was very welcome to write them out and post them himself...lol... so to all you who I would normally send a card to (and those who I don't!!) 'Have a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year' and I promise to be more organised next year (she says!!)....
PS... you know Christmas is getting closer when the santa from the round table comes round....HO HO HO...x

POOR ME

Sorry not been around the last couple of days... Saturday was spent at the Aberdeen Papermill Crop hosted by Emma... there was lots of fun and games including bingo which I didn't win... Did get an absolutely fantastic secret santa from Elaine...

And it all came wrapped in a lovely little hessian bag as well which is very cute... thank you Elaine...I love it all...

Yesterday I didn't do much of anything as I wasn't feeling too good... and last night boy did I find out why I wasn't feeling too good... Started being sick about 9.30pm and was sick a few more times through the night... Only just out of bed so thank goodness Allan is home just now... Feeling a lot better than I was but got a raging headache...x

PRE-LOVED WARDROBE REMIX

I thought I would do a different take on the wardrobe remix that Jude and Dyan have been doing and do one of Niamh with her pre-loved clothes... A couple of my friends (Susan, Kelly and Gillian) and I have have gotten into the habit of swapping the kids clothes around lately and Niamh is coming out with some really fab outfits (not bought her new clothes in ages)... Doesn't she look cute??? Wish I had friends I could do that with...lol...x

Yesterday's outfit... This is soo sweet....

Today's outfit... Everything that she is wearing apart from her pants is pre-loved!!!
