FOOTBALL, FOOTBALL, PITTODRIE.....

OMG I have to tell everyone I know about this.... as you might know Morgan is currently a trialist with Aberdeen Football Club as a goalkeeper, training with them twice a week and tonight his coach asked of he wanted to play on Wednesday night at Pittodrie at half time when Aberdeen play Kilmarnock...I am bursting with pride and just soooo happy for him...It is SOOO EXCITING....

Sorry I just had to get that out - normal service will resume as soon as I stop bubbling over with excitement.....xox

LOOK AT ME MUMMY....I CAN FLY...

I just had Allan on the phone earlier complaining that I hadn't been keeping up my blog lately as he likes to read it when he is away (Canada for six weeks this time)... so I uploaded some of the photos from the last week or so and here they are over 3 posts...that should keep him happy....

Niamh asked me to come outside the other day as she told me she had learnt to fly!!!!

Ready for take of....

Up, up and away.....
And down for landing....So as you can see she was right - she CAN fly.....and she even has the wings to prove it!!!

And there has also been a distinct lack of crafting lately as well - I don't know what is the matter with me - it seems that my mojo must still be on holiday in Tenerife..lol...anyway I hope to remedy that at tomorrow nights Stampotique class over at Simply Create in Alford...

And some good news about Morgan as well - for the last couple of terms he has been training (as a goalkeeper) with Aberdeen Football Club once a week and his coach told me tonight that he wants him to stop going to the community training and come twice a week with them instead as he has improved so much, he says he feels that the community training is holding him back and he is really pleased with his performance...yayyy...next stop a signing - but hey, even if he doesn't get signed we are still very proud of him for getting this far (and now I am crying because I AM so proud of him!!)...

HAPPY HENNIE.....

On Friday night it was my friend Gillian's hennie.... I have known Gillian for about 8 years as her daughter Kate and Ellie started at 2's group together... We started of at Via Milano which is the local Italian but to be honest the meal wasn't really up to much so it's just as well the company was.... It was a riot from start to finish as these nights tend to be.....
Then it was onto Oscars for cocktails and one of Morgan's judo instructors is a barman there and I think we kind of embarrassed him a little bit (poor boy!!!)
The sheep is related to the fact that Gillian is a veterinary nurse...

And this is my friend Vanessa proudly wearing the 'L' Plate Veil... we have decided that we are going to have a joint 'hennie' at some point despite the fact that we are both married - Why? I hear you ask, well the answer is that neither of us had one at the time - Me, because I was already pregnant with Libby and Ness because....well she just buggered of to the registry office without telling anyone except me and Gillian....

The night ended as nights in Inverurie invariably do in Edwards...we danced the night away before Ness and I got a taxi home about 1.45am (Gillian had already gone by this time)....Ness then kept me up til 3.30am yapping and I didn't get to sleep the whole night - you know the one - I saw 4am, 5am, 6am, 6.30am and then I was rudely awakened at 7.40am by the phone ringing...it was Steve, Vanessa's husband...so that was it, up and a nice cup of tea while we waited for him to come and pick her up....

The rest if the day kinda passed in a blur cos I was soooo tired (not hungover, just tired from lack of sleep)...Morgan went of to the Locos to be ball boy again and Ellie had dancing...
And this is the 'mini hen'... Somehow I managed to come home with the veil and Niamh decided she wanted to try it on....x

LOOK AT ME MUMMY....

Last weekend Niamh decided that it was time she learnt to ride her bike on two wheels....She had a little help from big sister Ellie....
Ellie trying to teach her that she needs to push of to get going....
Woo hoo - I can do it and do it she can but not for very long....but hey small steps (or pedals)!!...

I think by the time she starts school in August she will definitely be going on her bike just like Libby...

APRIL 365 CALENDAR PAGES....AT LAST

OK this has just taken me 4 attempts to get these uploaded in the right order....I have really struggled with this month's pages as I was away for two weeks and was then playing catch up.... anyway, how I did them was like this... I started of with prepped pages and decided I would like a blue background so I swiped over some of Claudine Helmuth's Sky Blue with a babywipe... then I stamped and generally messed around with some flowers with paint for the bottom half...

I stamped the sun stamp that came with this month's Craft Stamper in yellow and orange, moving it round slightly for the second colour onto tissue paper which I then cut out and glued onto my page with Liquitex Matte Gel with the result that the tissue all but disappears... great technique which is explained more fully in the Craft Stamper magazine... I have used this before but with wax instead of glue.... I then added the date and a few more images in this way...

I had originally cut out all the days in circles using the Cricut but when I took them of the mat I realised I had a stencil filled with circles so I decided to see how it would work if I used a paint dabber and it worked a treat... I did spray the 'stencil' with some repositionable glue first so I didn't get any bleeding..... I just have to remember what I was doing for the last two and a bit weeks now...lol...xox

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MORGAN AND ELLIE...

Happy Birthday to Morgan and Ellie.... Yesterday my babies were 11 and 10....only seems like yesterday that they were born - I can remember Morgan running up the corridor when he came to collect his baby sister from the hospital....Would have showed you pictures of them as babies (just to embarrass them you understand...lol...) but that was before the age of digital camera really began and I would have to dig them out and then scan them...watch this space tho!!! Unfortunately Morgan didn't have that great a day - I got a call from school around 11.15 to say he wasn't feeling well so I had to pick him up and he just hung around the sofa for the rest of the day....and after his cousins had been to visit and he was of to bed he was spectacularly sick all over his bedroom floor - thank goodness for wooden floors in bedrooms.....he is still of today and I don't think he will be back tomorrow...

Ellie on her new BMX bike - she is such a boy sometimes.... Morgan opted for an MP3 player and they got loads of money, games and clothes from their various aunties, uncles and grannies and grandads....

Went to Tesco to look for a cake for them both but I am really sick of their cakes and am not really a good baker so I never make my own... so I went to Costco yesterday to get cupcakes and I thought I would use the lovely cake stand that holds 21 individual cupcakes but alas they didn't have any so I ended up getting the giant ones that measure about 4 1/2" across... they are delicious but beware they are also very moreish and you get TWENTY in a box......

I ended up stacking them round the smaller cake stand and they looked fabulous.....

This is the 'before' they blew the candles out picture.....

and I managed to catch them mid blow and would you look at all that smoke - it's a wonder the smoke alarm didn't go of...lol...

And her is a little person enjoying her chocolate one....mmmmmh!!!!!
It was Ellie's friend Chloe's birthday on Tuesday and the two of them have decided they want their ears pierced so Kerry (Chloe's mum) and I are taking them into town on Saturday morning on the train and we might even manage a sneaky cappuccino.....xox

TENERIFE....

The holiday to Tenerife was very relaxing.... as you can see from the photos...the kids had a brilliant time and made lots of new friends.... This is Ellie Libby and Niamh with Karen the entertainment co-ordinator and Elita and Giselle who come from Tenerife - kids make friends so easily - within in 5 minutes of Elita, Giselle and their little sister Jade (who live in Mallorca) arriving Libby and Giselle were wandering round the pool hand in hand as if they had known each other all their lives...

Morgan with his cousins Finlay and Blair.... Allan's sister Jen and brother-in-law Pete were in Tenerife for a week at the same time as us but staying in a different resort but they came to visit one of the days and we had a really good day and night out with them... Allan and Pete are funny when they get together (just like at home)... at least neither of them threw up!!!!

Watch out Cheryl Cole, I think someone may be after your crown!!!!!

This is Niamh and her friend Aimee that we met a few days after we arrived and they got on famously as well... They come from Carlisle so we might be able to meet up with them at some point (hopefully)...

Morgan got picked by the comedian to do this act - basically he put on the big jacket with his arms inside and the comedian did all the actions - it was very funny and Morgan looked like he enjoyed it....

This is the girls doing their dancing at the mini disco...we had to have dinner finished by 9pm every night so they could get down to KoKo Bongo for it....

Libby and Ellie with all the party favours that Karen gave the kids.... Carolynn (Elita, Giselle and Jade's mum) organised a Happy Birthday to Morgan and Ellie at the disco on the last night which was really great of her and Karen handed out party bags to all the kids which they all loved....

One last photo of all the kids relaxing in the jacuzzi.... and that's it (til next year!!!)
