ANOTHER WEDDING ORDER...

This is another wedding order that I had from a lovely bride called Claire who it turns out has married the bride in the post belows brother...

This lovely heart is huge..30cm I think and it's been painted in the shabby style with a rubbed back top layer which I am quite liking at the moment...it was very nerve wracking doing the wording on it and I have to admit to messing it up...only once though:0)

This was a present from the bride to someone else who is getting married this weekend...

and last but not least these are some cute personalised hearts...
which I think look awfully sweet on the gift backs for her bridesmaids...
Have quite enjoyed doing these...

PICTURES....AT LAST...

These are some piccies of the bits and pieces I made for my next door neighbours wedding which we unfortunately couldn't attend due to being in Edinburgh for the Tattoo(see the post below)...It sounded like a lot of fun and I'm sad we missed it....

Signs...I used the Cricut to cut out the letters and mountboard for the base...was very tricky trying to work out the right sizes for the letters...I went through a lot of trial and error with these...

Bunting...I cut the first one out from calico fabric using the Big Shot and then stamped with a large text stamp and the second one is hand cut and also made from calico with a lovely red heart stamped in the middle...

Cards...The bridesmaid one is made from one I seen on Pinterest...it caught my eye and I thought it would make a nice wedding card...

Confetti...These were made using up a 6x6 pad of papers and then edged with vintage photo distress ink...they are actually quite tricky til you get the hang of it...

and a Thank You bunting for the Thank You cards...

That's it for today...I hope Blogger is nicer to me in the future and will let me upload my photos...xx

NO PHOTOS:0(

Not sure why but I am having problems uploading photos to my Blog lately....anyone else having the same problem...it just says they can't be uploaded...In the last post I left it for a few days and it worked but have just tried for this post and it's the same message:0(

I was going to upload some photos of bits and pieces I made for my neighbours wedding last weekend but instead you will just have to admire my new blog template which I think is really sweet and colourful...was time for a change and I just love the wee bunny rabbit in the corner:0)

Have a great Monday everyone...xx

EDINBURGH ROYAL MILITARY TATTOO

Last weekend Allan and I headed down to Edinburgh for the Royal Military Tattoo...we have been once before a number of years ago...
Edinburgh Castle in all it's glory...

 The military pipes and drums...

Some of the very talented dancers...

The Americans did a superhero rendition complete with light show and these are the lights for Popeye the Sailor Man...it was followed by Batman, Superman, Spiderman and a couple of others...

These(apart from the pipes and drums) were our favourite...The Top Secret Drum Corps from Switzerland...they were fast and furious and put on a fabulous show...

 More pipes and drums...

The spectacular end with all the acts taking part...

Some fireworks above the castle...

I have managed to cross another item of my list for the Scavenger Hunt...still got a few to go though so I better get my skates on...xxx

SCAVENGER UPDATE...

Another couple of photos ticked of the Scavenger list...

This is Niamh under the movie poster for Brave which we went to see last week with all the girls plus one extra....unfortunately the battery in my camera (which I took especially!) went flat before I took the first picture:0(

Now this next one is slightly pushing it...It's not actually a pier as such but the harbour entrance in Aberdeen...so I suppose that's a bit of a cheat...not sure where exactly our nearest pier would be...

These are just a couple of shots from Niamh's birthday party which we had today at the Foam Factory...much fun had by all...Her favourite present was Merida's bow and arrow set from the film Brave...bestest present EVER!!!

MORE SCAVENGER HUNTING...

Well I managed to get another 3 of my list from the photo scavenger list over this last week...
This is Morgan in goal for Dyce the other night, a good action shot, although the less said about the score the better I think...

This is Lex the Clydesdale horse from Landmark...he was a proper working horse at one time I think but he now just does log pulling demos at the centre...if you haven't visited here before you should...it's a fantastic day out for all the family...

I know I have already done #12 but I couldn't resist another for the maze...it's a brilliant one and no matter how many times you do it you still get lost in it...

This is my clothes line shot as this is where most of our clothes have been dried this summer:0( There has been very little sun in this corner of the world for quite a few months now and it's starting to get a wee bit depressing now....kids are back to school a week on Tuesday so that's probably when it will come out...

This is just a random I took of Niamh wearing her new jacket for school...she looks very smart I think and she seems happy with it which is the main thing (with her!).

No 6 - Historical Landmark - Drum Castle
No 7 - Some playing a musical instrument - Niamh playing this unusual musical instrument in the park at Haddo House
No 9 - A fountain - at Haddo House - weird thing about this picture is the day I posted it on facebook a wedding photographer posted almost the exact same picture but with a bride and groom in the background...spooky!!
No 11 - A shadow - Libby balancing on the beams
No 12 - A maze, labyrinth or trail - leading through the forest at Haddo House
No 17 - A church, chapel, cathedral, mosque or temple - Haddo House again. I lay on the ground looking up at the chapel for this shot

These are the 'rules' from Rinda's blog so you still have plenty time to join in...
Substitute Item (new this year): If you find any of the above too hard, you may substitute a photograph of either a heart-shaped stone or a four leaf clover for one item; however, you may not substitute this item for #21.
Participants are encouraged to periodically post their finds on their blog, but you don't need a blog to participate. On September 21, I will survey the participants and choose a winner, based on the number of items found. If more than one person finds all the items, a random draw will determine the winner. I will also draw a random winner from all the participants. Winners will receive a photography-related prize (either a photography book or entrance into an online photography class). Let me know in the comments if you plan to participate or if you have any questions! Remember the idea is not to search your photo files and find these items, but rather to take the photos between now and the end of summer. Also, let me know if there's something that's impossible for you (do people not hang clothes in the winter in the southern hemisphere, for instance), and I'll see what I can do to accommodate you. It's all about having fun and enjoying the hunt.

Have a great day...xx
EDIT: Not sure why some of this post is highlighted in white, maybe something to do with the fact I copied and pasted from Rinda's blog, I don't know!!
