CURRENTLY...

Thinking: I wish I was somewhere hot and sunny

Enjoying: Blogging this week, walking the dog and my new jazz class (even tho I suck!)

Feeling: Frustrated at my children's moaning about everything I do for them!!

Wearing: Skinny jeans and Converse boots, tshirt and cardigan

Needing: Some space and peace

Wanting: The referendum debate to be over

Listening: To my iPod with all my 'old' tunes

Making: The most of left over teas and recycling into something new for the next day!!

Eating: Chilli enchiladas with savoury rice

Drinking: Lots more water

PAINTED FURNITURE...

I bought this desk a couple of months ago from a local second hand shop as I thought it was really cute...It's quite wee and dinky.

I finally got round to finishing it last week and I am so pleased with how it turned out.

I painted it with Annie Sloan Duck Egg chalk paint and then distressed it slightly.

It was given a coat of clear wax to finish.

It looks great in my dining area...

A LITTLE BIT OF ART JOURNALING...JOURNAL SOUP STYLE...

So last week I decided that I really, really, really wanted a Dylusions Creative Journal so I went on eBay and I bought this one...

I also decided that I had best get on with the Journal Soup 1 class created by Kate Crane at The Kathryn Wheel before I purchased Journal Soup 2....

This is what I produced from part one...part two is currently underway...very pleased with what I've done so far and can't wait to finishe the second page and get on with the rest of the lessons...Kate is such a fabulous teacher and I have been lucky enough to do a class with her along with Sonja. We are also booked in to do another with her at the beginning of next year...can't wait!!

MIXED MEDIA KIT BACKLOG...

So yesterday I went to our crop for the first time in probably 2 years...It's great just being able to go somewhere and craft uninterrupted for the whole day.

Since I hadn't been for so long I didn't want to go and just faff around so I looked through all my unused mixed media kits from Scarlett Lime and decided on this one for my project for the day.

I totally love how it turned out...

I also worked some more on the long canvas that I posted yesterday...Hopefully I will be finished that in the next couple of days..

Enjoy your Sunday.

CANVAS LOVE...AGAIN...

I know,  my blog has been seriously neglected for months now...I'm not often on the laptop anymore as I tend to use my iPad for everything... It has also become easier to post on Instagram or my Facebook page as it is just so much quicker and easier than Blogger...

Anyway in case you may have missed me here's a couple of canvases that I have been working on...

The top one is finished and was inspired by one I seen somewhere in the online world but can't remember where. The second one is a work in progress. Due to it being the school holidays I've not had much craft time and I have also been suffering with migraines quite badly...

Thanks for reading (if you have!)

CANVAS LOVE...

A canvas inspired by one I found on Pinterest....
The heart is made from canvas from a roll which I painted and left textured and the stamped with my favourite script stamp.

It's not the original quote I was going to put on it as for the life of me I couldn't remember it...

Thanks for looking.

ANOTHER CARD...

Another Pinterest inspired card....I used washi tape though instead of patterned papers...It's actually harder than it looks trying to fold washi tape in half so the edges match...

NEW ART....

Started this off at the weekend and finished it tonight...

I cut a triangle from chipboard and covered with white card for a base to work on, then I applied salty sea and mustard seed distress ink and stamped and embossed in white with a lovely Dark Room Door French script stamp. I flicked some white calico Mr Huey over that for some splatters...

I down loads the art media from ArtChicks after seeing them on Pinterest...finished with some seam binding...enjoy!! X

MORE WEDDING INVITATIONS...

Here is another set of wedding invitation samples that I have made...This time in purple with black sparkle....

I really like the purple with the text but its not as easy to see as with the ice silver below... these really are sparkly which I don't think the photos show up that well...sparkle is just so difficult to photograph (unless you're a professional I suppose:0))...

Hope everyone is staying safe in this awful weather we are having at the moment...xx

Sunday 9 February 2014

So I have been missing in action for a while now due to doing samples for wedding invitations for the first week and a half of the new school term and then I started doing relief PSA (pupil support) full time school hours so I have not had the time (or the inclination really) to do any crafting.  This should finish this week so I will get back to crafting after or maybe even during the mid-term break which for us in Scotland starts this Thursday.

Meantime, here are one set of samples that I have made.  I will post more as the week goes on.
