A WEEKEND OF ART...

A couple of weekends ago I had the pleasure of attending an all day class with the superb Kate Crane from The Kathryn Wheel in Middlesbrough with my friend Sonja.

 

 We worked on some matchboxes, altering them using paint and ink techniques and of course Kate's new stamps which are available from Stampotique...I want the all!!

 

 

We had a great day with all the other ladies that do art. Kate is such a fantastic teacher...Can't wait to go again next time. xx

DOCUMENTED LIFE PROJECT...WEEK 9

Here we go...week 9 and I'm still going strong and loving every minute of this challenge...

 The February theme has been 'using layers you love' and the prompt for this week was to 'use at least 5 layers'.

I used 6 layers...one for each member of my family...I started with some printed tissue, then some washi tape, gesso, a painty layer, some stamping and finally the house and flowers, etc. I added our initials between each layer.

PINTEREST EVENING...

 

Last week Nina from Nina's Apartment had a Pinterest making evening where you could come  along to her workshops and actually make something you have pinned on Pinterest. 

 

I have to say I probably do make quite a few things from my boards on Pinterest (I have 99 of them with over 5000 pins...eeek) but it was good to get out of the house for a couple of hours with some like minded people and some adult conversation....

 

Anyhoo I decided to make this canvas after watching a Christy Tomlinson video on YouTube when I realised I actually have the kit she was using and had never used it...bad....so I was stash busting as well as creating something. Sorry I can't find the link to the video as it is coming up as an error on my Pin...
