50 YEARS....

I can't imagine being married for 50 years! We have only just reached our 10 year anniversary, although we have actually been together for 22 years....
This is my take on  a card that's in the latest Stampin' Up catalogue that I made for my friend Carrie to give to her mum and dad for reaching this wonderful milestone...
I've used a mixture of Stampin' Up products - this butterfly being one of their dies for the Big Shot...the blue card is embossed using one of their embossing folders and I think the scallop is one of their punches...the butterfly was overstamped with a script stamp by darkroomdoor which I love...
This is also another Stampin' up set which is great - stamp the image and cut it out with a punch - so easy...the script paper is from BoBunny...xxx

WHAT A MESS...

How is it I can make so much mess just to make one little card?

On another note I am doing the Twilight Walk tomorrow night in aid of Cancer UK....if anyone would like to make a donation my JustGiving page is over here ...all donations gratefully received with a massive thanks!!!

RUSTIQUES

Last Friday I went to Rustiques near Crathes Castle....what a gorgeous setting! I went to learn some paint techniques with Moira using Annie Sloan chalk paints and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it so if you are sitting on the fence about doing this course....GO FOR IT...

This is the sconce we made using the peeled/cracked paint effect....I think I may keep this outside beside my table with a citronella candle on it...
The second project we did was this photo frame which I have to say looks quite professional if I do say so myself...lots of lovely thick, gooey paint and some dark wax worked in...
The third and my favourite was this plaque...a base coat with a top coat then sanded and this gorgeous stencil on top...I am in love with this one and now have the painting bug....just which colours do I buy tho....I have my charity shop coffee table to do and my lovely freegled dresser...

And of course the shop is stocked to the rooftops with lots and lots and lots of gorgeous knick knacks and bits and pieces for your home....xxx

Thought I would share my some pictures of my table from the Candy Belles Vintiques Fair at the weekend....It was a lovely day and so busy...
All the birds in this picture are now sold apart from one, the 3 canvases in front of the suitcase are also sold...
A couple of the wreaths have gone and the jubilee triangle bunting is also sold...
Lots of the small hearts have also gone to new homes...
I am loving the bunting that Janet from I heart art had strung up behind my stall...I so wish I could sew properly....
Can't wait for the next one now....hope the sun is shining wherever you are today - it is here(for now) in this part of Aberdeenshire!!
