RIP HAGGIS....
Tonight we had the sad task of having to put to sleep our beloved dog Haggis... Haggis was 14 years old and I can still remember the day we got him... He has been deteriorating since we came back from holidays in October... It was like he was still a puppy one week and an old man the next.... He will be very sadly missed especially by Niamh who loved that dog as much as she loved Charlie our other westie who died suddenly aged 11 a couple of years ago and despite being only 2 at the time Niamh talks about him still.... RIP Haggis - you will be missed....

ReplyDeleteWV is bless - how apt!....xx
I am really sorry about Haggis, it is so sad when a pet has to be put to sleep. I know how you feel as we have had dogs all our married life and it is devastating when they go they are part of the family.

May Haggis and Niamh enjoy their reunion by running and playing likes puppies once again! The loss of a canine friend leaves a hole in the family.

ReplyDeletedarling girl, I am weeping with you. Our doggies are such lovely creatures who love and trust us. I dread the day our doggy has to leave us, I really do. In fact, thinking about it now makes me well up.
ReplyDeleteSending you all some love and warm hugs x
I am so sorry to hear such sad news... poor Niamh. Our doggy is 9 now, and she's showing signs of slowing down - except when she tries to dig up the cat who left us peacefully (he was 21) a few months ago and is buried in the garden. I know people always ask... but do you think you'll have a place in your home for another four-legged fur-baby one day again?
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear your sad news. It is painful losing a beloved dog. It's happened to me twice. Sending you & your family big cyber hugs.xx
